Hail a Tour! Harry Potter's London

Some of the most memorable scenes in the spellbinding series of ‘Harry Potter’ movies were filmed right here in London.

On this tour, you will be chauffeured to each of these sites in my taxi, and there will be plenty of time to get out, stretch your legs and take those all-important photos!

The ‘Harry Potter’ locations featured on this tour are:

*Borough Market; one of the places used as the setting for The Leaky Cauldron.

*Leadenhall Market; a beautiful, sprawling Victorian locality, used as the entrance to Diagon Alley in the 'Philosopher’s Stone'.

*The Millennium Bridge; a famous London landmark, which is terrifyingly torn to pieces by Death Eaters in 'The Half Blood Prince'.

* Lambeth Bridge; where the ‘Knight Bus’ has a tight squeeze in The Prisoner of Azkaban!

*Great Scotland Yard; one of London’s most famous streets, and home to the Ministry of Magic’s secret entrance….

*Aldwych; see the building which was used as Gringotts Bank (exterior only)

*Kings Cross Station; home to the infamous ‘Platform 9 3/4’... all aboard for the Hogwarts Express!

On the way, I’ll spice up our trip with little snippets of London history and trivia.

Before being allowed to drive a cab, London's taxi drivers are required to complete an intensive course of study called 'The Knowledge', in which we have to learn every road, street and alley in the city, along with the buildings and places of interest which stand upon them.

This training is extremely detailed and takes a considerable amount of time to complete (I personally had to study for 4 years before I received my taxi badge!)

'The Knowledge' therefore ensures that London's cabbies know their city inside-out.

I am also a qualified 'London Taxi Guide'. This title was awarded to me by the 'Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers' after completing a course (involving both written study and practical guiding skills) on London's 2,000 year old history.
