Primal Fitness Training

Here's what's going to happen

Primal Fitness is a unique approach to physicial training, as we do not want to train simply muscles, but learn practical real life movements, which have a carry-over effect into your daily life and enable you to solve any physical problem you face.
We teach lots of different techniques in walking, running, climbing, jumping, balancing, lifting, carrying, throwing, catching and crawling. All our techniques are practicall and suitable for real life use. Usually our training consists of a warm-up movement part, a technical training part and a "combo", which means combining different movement capacities, often times we also use different "tasks" that have to be solved for training not only efficient moving, but also efficient thinking.
Combined with our playfull attitude, and the fact that no training at our facillity is the same, the trainings are a also a lot of fun and an opportunity to reconnect with your body.
Our approach is far different from the brainless conventionell gym approach, as our opinion is that smart thinking and smart movements have to work together to solve complex physical problems.
If you would like to experience a different approach to physicial training, come visit our "Primal Fitness" courses in Berlin Friedrichshain/Prenzlauer Berg! There are no physical requirements for our training,  as we only train small groups, so we can adjust the training to everyones own ablities.
Between Spring and Autumn the training is exclusively outdoors. Usually training takes place in Volkspark Friedrichshain.

The different focal points of the trainings:
Monday 18:30-20:00:
Training of all fundamental movement capacities, the focal points are on lifting & carrying, throwing & catching.

Tuesday 18:30-20:00:
Training of the basics in all fundamental movement capacities. Especially recommended for beginners.

Thursday 18:30-20:00
Training of the locomotive moving capacities (moving your own body).

    I never thought that climbing, throwing and transporting things can be so much fun! It is a total different experience of doing sports. You don't only train your muscles, but also your brain!
    Joseph is a great trainer, who understands to motivate the team! He has a great way of explaining things and is always there to support you, if you for example don't know how to overcome an obstacle!
    You should definitely try Primal Fitness Training!

    Joseph training is really different and really worth to try out. even though you might not be the most fit personal, he shows things that everybody can do. much better than any gym or brainless fitness course. with his techniques he combined body and mind. at the end of the course there is something like a game, where everybody plays together as a team. lots of fun and highly recommendable!

    Spannende Erfahrung. Ich hätte mir vielleicht anfänglich noch ein paar mehr grundsätzliche Worte zu dem Ansatz gewünscht.

    This activity was a very interesting experience and I'd recommend anyone to try it out. There were both girls and guys participating, which made it a very pleasant group of people with very little macho stuff going on. Definitely bring old (and in the winter warm) clothes because you'll be crawling, squatting, jumping, climbing and doing all kinds of really interesting exercises that give you a different perspective on your body.

    Joseph will also take you aside and do a simple 'mobility assessment' with you. In 5 minutes he can probably tell you more about your physical state then you would have learned by going to the gym for a year.

    Joseph is a super nice guy who knows what he is talking about. The workout is intense but doable. I am not sure if it is a beginners workout. some level of fitness is required i believe.
    all in all a great experience and a challenging and enjoyable take on working out. i´ll do it again !

    Very fun experience! This is definitely something everyone who grew up playing with things (+ outside) should check out at least once!
