If you know the basics of using your Mac for your daily work but want to discover the tools and tricks to do stuff on your Mac more intelligent and efficient, this talk is for you. I've been a Mac geek for 10 years now and gathered a big set of helpful applications, keyboard shortcuts and scripts that can bring your Mac experience to the next level.
This will be a 1.5 hour presentation, followed by 30 minutes of questions and answers. I will present a set of tools and tricks and give room in the Q&A to ask for specific needs. We're going to talk about:
- Automating tasks, quick and easy note taking, optimizing workflows etc.
- With tools like Dropbox, TextExpander, Notational Velocity, Keyboard Maestro, MarkDown etc.
What you need to know:
- This is the revised version of the original talk.
- You should have basic knowledge of how to use a Mac (I won't talk about any of the standard Mac programs).
- You don't need any programming experience but you shouldn't be afraid if it gets a bit nerdier.
- Bring your Mac laptop, obviously.
- This edition of the Mac-Tools-and-Tricks-session will be in German (the next English-edition will be soon).
- Just to be clear: Some of the recommended programs cost money and won't be open source.
Feel free to ask me any questions beforehand.
