Join us through Berlin’s most inspiring districts – far away from the main tourist sites. Small groups (max 8 people) and local perceptions guaranteed!
If you ride your bike in Berlin you will soon find yourself in a variety of little cultural worlds. Locals call this „Kiez“ - small areas with their own vibe and attitudes. Get a glimpse on this authentic tour and explore some of Berlin’s most (in)famous spots.
We start in Friedrichshain and soon head over to Kreuzberg. You will be surprised how unique and still multi-facetted this little suburb actually is. We will ride through turkish quarters, explore backyards, discover squatted areas, check out urban gardening projects and cruise along the colorful and authentic streets of the district.
In East-Mitte you will see best how Berlin has changed in the last centuries and still is changing. We will ride along the Berlin wall, cross streets that make you feel as being in a village and actually ride „on“ a palace.
Riding back to Friedrichshain you will be taken aback by the last big communist boulevard of Germany and discover the home of Berlin’s socialist movement which is developing to a main party-district of the city. In the squatted left-wing quarter we will talk about gentrification, recent housing issues and finally experience the Boxhagener Kiez from a local where you will have the best lemonade of your life!
