Ernst-Jan kan echt fantastisch vertellen over het opzetten van een blog, maar pas op voor het after workshop uitstapje! Ernst-Jan kan echt heel matig borrelen en onthoud vooral dat je nooit twintig bitterballen moet bestellen, want hij eet er, ongemerkt dat wel, zeker zestien op!
Meteen to the point komen en alles eruit gooien, dat schijnt belangrijk te zijn in een blog....

Aanrader! Ik startte relatief blanco aan de workshop en ging 3 uur later naar huis met een hoofd vol ideeën, talloze praktische tips, verwijzingen naar inspirerende voorbeelden en vooral heel veel zin meteen aan de slag te gaan.

Zijn workshop is voor zowel digitale nerd als huis, tuin en keuken internetter een leerzame ervaring. En dit was precies het publiek van afgelopen workshop. Het blijft mij positief verbazen hoe goeie copywriters met jaren ervaring in schrijven de mogelijkheden van een WordPress of Tumblr blog ontdekken om vervolgens de digitale snelweg te betreden.

Ook voor mij was het een goede les in wat schrijven voor je kan betekenen, waar je op moet letten, hoe je unieke content kan genereren, wat de do's en dont's zijn, hoe je begint....en doorgaat.....en volhoudt. Zelf probeer ik namelijk te schrijven over de mogelijkheden van sport in een drukke werkleven en de mogelijkheden van digitale media hierin. Wat vrij lastig is voor iemand die niet goed is in woorden in de juiste volgorde te zetten. Ik doe mijn best en dankzij deze workshop heb ik in ieder geval inspiratie opgedaan.

Zeer inspirerend om een avondje te luisteren naar EJ Pfauth. Fantastisch hoeveel hij al heeft gedaan in de blogosfeer. Leerzaam welke tips en tricks hij opdiept en je kan er echt wat mee als je binnenkort wil beginnen. Enige mini-minpuntje: het wordt geadverteerd als workshop, maar dat is t niet echt.
Maar wel een zeer inspirerende duw in de rug voor de beginnend blogger. Aanbevolen!

This workshop by ‘a believer’ was very inspiring. I learned about 'The Rules', discovered new blogs and it made me want to start blogging right there and then. We did an individual brainstorm session, which resulted in my new TO-DO-LIST. One paradox I did not understand however: a blogger should blog for personal reasons, but must at the same time blog to serve the reader. How can you do that? Furthermore I was happily surprised by the assignment at the end: blog every day for 2 weeks. But the weeks that followed were the wrong weeks for me, so my advice: make sure you plan this well before you attend, so you can get feedback on your blog. I got several useful answers to my main question on how to reach the masses as a blogger. The best one: organise your own event - such as workshops like these. (:

However I was already convinced I should and wanted to start blogging I think this IRL experience during the workshop - with so many excited & motivated 'peers' - was my defining moment to really get going.
His great experience, common sense and natural performance made this workshop very useful, important and pleasant for me.
The finishing off in one of the most beautiful contradictions for this workshop 'De Engelse Reet' (bar that has been around for 125 years) made it into a very memorable evening. Thanks!!!

Very suitable workshop for everyone who need that kickstart to blogging or wants to find out if they got what it takes. EJ talks from a very personal perspective which makes this evening not about staring at a Powerpoint presentation but listening to a guy who has a seriously inspiring view on the craft of blogging. Don’t come if you expect to be writing there and then; it’s more about creating your own idea behind your blog, finding original and interesting angles and reflection on what you’ve been doing so far or were about to do, blogwise. What I liked most is that EJ is a natural narrator and tells his own story enriched with aspects from the past, present and future.

Ernst-Jan did a great job, demonstrating great experience in the workshop's subject. I saw all attendees really engaged in at least giving a try to get the feet wet in the blogging world.

I really enjoyed this workshop. Ernst-Jan is a charming character. You trust he has a sincere motivation to inspire other people to pick up blogging and share their stories. He passionately speaks about his own blogging experiences and manages to convince others that they can do it too.

The workshop is well structured and gives practical tips and ‘hacks’ on how to choose a subject, platform, design, angles, writing and social media etiquette.

I will definitely give it a try myself and will gladly advise others to attend this workshop.

It was a pretty big group, around 15 people... We followed the 3 hour course from behind our laptops/ notebooks. Focus was on: how to narrow down your ideas to create a successful blog.

Personally: I still am sceptic if this will work out for me, my ideas/ topic for a blog are not super to the point .

Still, I am happy to have briefly stepped into the blogging world with Ernst-Jan and the other participants . It was fun!
